Grant Permissions

Certent CDM uses application- and report-level user permissions for security. These permissions determine what functions are available in the application and in specific reports.

Initially, users and user groups do not have any permissions set. They must be explicitly granted. By default, only the administrator can set permissions.

When you grant application permissions and report permissions to a user group, the users inherit the group permissions. You can later change permissions for an individual users, which will override the group's settings.

Required Permission

To grant permissions to other users, you should have the following permission allowed:

Application Permissions > Security and Workflow > Manage Permissions for Users and User Groups

  2. In the work area, in the Users and Groups pane on the top, click the name of the user or group.
  3. In the Application Permissions pane on the bottom, expand the topics to find the appropriate permission, then select Allow. To remove a user's permission, select Deny instead. You may allow groups of permissions, or select Allow All at the top of the section.
  4. Click Home > Save.

Grant Report Permissions
