XBRL Facts

The CDM Reviewer application can also display XBRL content as appropriate. Simply switch to the Facts view within the Reviewer to display and interact with the XBRL facts.

Facts Pane

The Facts pane displays the list of facts within the document showing hidden facts first, followed by remaining facts as displayed in document order. Reviewers can filter the facts based on various criteria by leveraging the Filter functionality via the funnel icon on the top-right corner of the Facts pane.

To close the Facts pane, click the X icon on its top-right corner. To reopen the pane, select View > Facts, or click the Facts icon on the left sidebar of the Reviewer.

When a fact is selected, information about the fact will be displayed in the Fact Info pane on the right-hand side of the Reviewer. Icons on the right sidebar of the Reviewer allows users to view more detailed fact Info, validation state, comments attached to the fact, and fact history.

  • Info
    Displays the Fact Info pane for more specific fact details.
  • Validation
    Displays the Fact Validation pane to see the Arelle validation state.
  • Comments
    Displays the Comments pane to add/review comments on the selected fact.
  • History
    Displays the Fact History pane to view the audit trail of the fact approval states.

Selecting Show Validation in the Home tab while in Facts view toggles the XBRL validations coloring for the facts contained within the document on or off.

  • Red = Error
  • Yellow = Warning
  • Green = Pass/No validation
