Introduction to CDM XBRL Administration Guide

The CDM XBRL Administration Guide describes how to perform administrative tasks in CDM XBRL.

CDM is a unified financial governance solution that focuses on improving financial processes and controls, particularly in the final stages before disclosure. It helps the finance department improve the timeliness and quality of financial management processes and reporting. CDM also facilitates audits, extends enterprise resource planning (ERP) transactional controls, and improves financial risk management.

CDM XBRL automates the process of eXtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL) tagging for compliance with the Security Exchange Commission mandate as well as other XBRL mandates around the world.

You can use CDM XBRL to include content that is formatted in XBRL from external files, and to optionally generate reports in the same format. You can also use the Taxonomy Editor (XBRL Extension Taxonomy mode) to define and classify relationships between XBRL parameters and your financial information.

In addition to English, you can now view the interface for CDM XBRL in several languages.

COREP and FINREP

If you are a European user who must file reports for COREP (Common Reporting) or FINREP (Financial Reporting), you should use the filing package for COREP and FINREP that is available in CDM XBRL.

The filing package contains all the needs of the templates in the document titled Implementing Technical Standard (ITS). This document describes the rules for the data that should be reported, and the timing and method for reporting. You can find the ITS document on the European Banking Authority website.

For current information about working with COREP and FINREP in CDM XBRL, and for more information about open and closed templates, contact Certent CDM Support.
