Extension Taxonomy Creation

Whenever a project is created or modified, CDM immediately creates or modifies a corresponding extension taxonomy. You are not required to create or import an existing extension taxonomy.

• CDM will automatically select the recommended taxonomy version for the Reporting Period.
• The extension taxonomy mirrors the base ESMA ESEF taxonomy and allows you to extend it to align the entity with the model provided by the regulator.
• CDM will modify properties of the extension taxonomy if the Company URL, Short Name, or Reporting Period are changed when you edit the project.

Note: The extension taxonomy creation requires files that are available online. For CDM application servers that cannot access resources outside of the company network, you can configure CDM to work offline by using the Cache Manager.
