Add the Content of an Archive File to the Cache Manager

You can add the contents of a .zip archive file to the Cache Manager in CDM XBRL.

  1. Click the Home tab, then in the Navigation Pane, click Administration.
  2. Under XBRL, double-click Cache Manager.
  3. In the Cache Manager tab in the work area, if required, select the folder in the navigation tree to which you want to add files in a .zip archive file.
  4. If the Cache Manager contains any content, make sure that either a folder or nothing is selected. If a file is selected, you cannot add an archive file to the Cache Manager.
  5. Click Home > Add > Archive.
  6. In the Add Archive window, enter the actual or intended base URL of the files contained in the .zip archive file in the Base URL field or accept the default.

Important: Files are added to the folder that has the same name as the base URL that is displayed. All base URLs must start with http:// in the URL. If no existing folder matches the base URL, a new folder is created at the root and the files are added to it.

  7. If required, select the Overwrite existing files, if any checkbox.
  8. Click Add Archive.
  9. Navigate to and select the .zip archive file whose files you want to add. Click Open. The .zip archive folder that you selected is listed in the Add Archive window.

Important: Individual files cannot be selected from a .zip archive. Either all files or none are added. However, you can add all files and then remove files later from the cache if they are not required.

  10. Click Delete to remove the .zip archive folder from the list if you do not want to add the contents of that archive and want to select another.
  11. Click OK. The files in the .zip archive file that you selected are extracted and added to the Cache Manager.
