Import Taxonomy

Before importing a project that includes a taxonomy not yet set up in your environment, you will need to import the taxonomy.

To add a new taxonomy:

1. In CDM, navigate to File > Administration > XBRL > Taxonomies. The Taxonomies tab opens in the work area.
2. Click Home > Add > Taxonomy from File.
3. You can enter a name and description for the taxonomy.
4. Click Add, then navigate to the taxonomy files. Use Ctrl+click to select the set of files. The files will not be recognized if they are still in a zip archive; unzip them and then retry. Click Open.
5. If more than one XSD file is included, use Set Entry Point to select one.
6. Select the desired Validation options
7. Specify whether the taxonomy should be editable.
8. Click OK to create the taxonomy.
