Courtesy PDF

You can create a courtesy PDF to include with your SEC filing to EDGAR. This is supplemental to the official filing, and often used to reflect a more stylized output than what is supported in EDGAR-compliant HTML.

You may also like to use this PDF output to supply to investor relations services, rather than allowing use of PDF versions which are recreated from the HTML version. The recent shift to iXBRL adds additional tags and attributes to the HTML, which may cause new issues with the conversions used by these third-party services, despite coming from an EDGAR-compliant format. This issue is inherent to third party conversions, and not specific to CDM.

Courtesy PDF with iXBRL

To create a courtesy PDF with your iXBRL:

  1. In the project properties, verify Include Courtesy PDF is checked. Enable Inline XBRL Tagging must be selected for this option to be available.
  2. When you generate inline XBRL or create a filing submission package, the courtesy PDF will now be included. The name of the PDF will be the same as the inline document and external hyperlinks are shown as text only.

Courtesy PDF with EDGAR HTML

To create a courtesy PDF with EDGAR HTML output (HD or non-HD):

  1. With the report open, click Home > Generate > Generate Entire Report.
  2. Select the EDGAR HTML format.
  3. Select Enable High Definition, if used.
  4. Select Include Courtesy PDF.
  5. Click OK to start the generation.
