Expanded Font or Condensed Font Spacing Appearance

Expanded or condensed character spacing on fonts may appear differently in HD HTML or HD iXBRL than in Word.

This is because expanded and condensed font spacing is currently not supported, and may result in undesirable spacing in the HD output. To resolve the issue, use font Spacing set to Normal. To do so:

  1. In the Word object, select the appropriate text. Press ctrl+A to select all the text in that object.
  2. Right-click, then select Font.
  3. In the Font window, on the Advanced tab, set the Spacing setting to Normal. If needed, change the other settings to match the defaults shown below. Click OK.

  4. Generate the HD HTML or HD iXBRL again to confirm the text is now displayed correctly.
