Modify Table for an Element

In the CDM Extension Taxonomy Editor, you can associate a table with an element or unassociate a table from an element that has the same relationship group. You can also restrict a table to an element of the same relationship group.

Associate/Unassociate a Table with/from an Element

  1. Open the extension taxonomy.
  2. In the Relationship Groups tab, select the Display checkbox for the relationship group you want to work with.
  3. Click the Check out icon Check Out Icon. A check out icon displays beside the relationship group in the Relationships Group tab and in the Primary Items and Dimensions panes to indicate that it is locked and only you can change it until it is unlocked.
  4. In the Primary Items pane,
    • To associate a table with an element, right-click the element and click Table. A table list opens. Select the table that you want to associate with the element. An Associated Table icon Associated Table Icon displays beside the element.
    • To unassociate the table from an element that has an associated table, right-click the element and click Unassociate Table. The table is unassociated from the element, and the element no longer has an Associated Table icon.

Restrict a Table to an Element

  1. Open the extension taxonomy you want to work with.
  2. In the Relationship Groups tab, select the Display checkbox for the relationship group to display it.
  3. In the Primary Items pane, select the element.
  4. Right-click the element and click Restriction Table. A table list opens.
  5. Select the table that you want to restrict. An Associated Table icon Associated Table Icon displays beside the element.
