Simplified ESMA ESEF Compliance in CDM

The CDM XBRL reporting interface simplifies ESMA ESEF compliance and filing by allowing you to extend, tag, validate and generate a reporting package.

System Guided Report Configuration - No XBRL Expertise Required:CDM guides you through the ESEF report configuration process and automatically applies the ESEF taxonomy. With CDM's built-in business rules to ensure tagging and anchoring compliance, taxonomy architecture/modelling and XBRL expertise is not required to generate an ESMA-compliant report.

Automatic ESEF-Compliant Report Generation: When you select the ESMA report jurisdiction, the report will automatically be generated in iXBRL and high-definition XHTML.

Accurate and Up-To-Date Report Data:CDM can pull the latest data automatically and dynamically from different source systems (ERP, CRM, Excel) to populate reports. This ensures that, in addition to being formatted correctly, reports generated for ESMA will be accurate and up to date. By using a platform approach to report creation, CDM will additionally ensure that all of your related report outputs are up-to-date and consistent.

High-Level Steps to ESMA Report Creation in CDM

  1. Create the Entity Identifier for the ESEF reporting entity by specifying its LEI 20-digit number.
  2. Create an XBRL project to configure a CDM report for ESMA submission. On creation, the project contains:
    • The report and its linked data sources
    • The entity extension taxonomy (automatically built based on the ESMA ESEF taxonomy)
    • The report generation settings (iXBRL and high-definition XHTML)
  3. After creating the project, tag your report, using the guided extension capability to extend and anchor the ESMA taxonomy where necessary.
  4. Generate the report. CDM ensures the report is validated for ESMA compliance.
