XBRL Content Refresh
As you work in CDM XBRL, you can refresh your content from time to time, to ensure that you are working with the most recent data.
You can refresh your data at any time while you are working. You should also refresh your data as part of the validation and generation processes.
You can refresh the data in your report in the following ways:
-
Quick Refresh
The data in the report objects is updated from the cache. The XBRL data is also updated from the cache. -
Full Refresh
The data in the report objects is updated from the data source. The XBRL data is also updated with the most recent content.
Refresh XBRL Content
- Open the project that you want to work with.
- Click the Home tab and complete one of the following tasks:
- To refresh data from the cache, click Refresh XBRL > Quick Refresh.
- To refresh data from the data source, click Refresh XBRL > Full Refresh.
- When the refresh is complete, click Yes in the confirmation message.
Include Query Items in Refresh
In the validation and generation processes for a project, you can also perform Quick Refresh or Full Refresh on your data. In addition, if the project supports relational query tagging, the Include query items in the refresh checkbox is available in the validation/generation window. You can select the checkbox to include query items in the refresh.
Note: If the queries used in query tagging return large amounts of data, this process might take a long time.
