Validate an Extension Taxonomy

You can validate an extension taxonomy in the CDM Extension Taxonomy Editor.

1. Open the extension taxonomy.
2. Save the extension taxonomy.
3. In the Errors tab, click Refresh. If there are errors, a prompt notifies you that the taxonomy validation has failed. If there are no errors, a prompt notifies you that the validation has passed.
4. Click OK. If the validation failed, the errors in the taxonomy are listed in the Errors tab. If the validation passed, it might have done so with warnings. These are also listed in the Errors tab.
5. Right-click an error to select an option, indicated by either an arrow or a check mark icon, that you can use to fix the error.
6. After each error is fixed, click Refresh.
7. Repeat until there are no errors in the list.
