XBRL

SEC

  • Support for the IFRS 2022 taxonomy
  • Arelle updated to July 21st, 2022, version and DQC (Data Quality Committee) v18 ruleset
  • All BCL generations have been deprecated. All SEC (EDGAR HTML and Inline XBRL) generations are now generated using the High-Definition engine.
  • Exhibit sections are now included in Inline XBRL generations
    • If the exhibit contains XBRL tagging, it will generate an exhibit inline document thus creating an inline document set.
    • If the exhibit does not contain XBRL tagging, it will generate an exhibit EDGAR HTML document.

HMRC

  • Support for the UK FRC 2022 taxonomy

IE Revenue

  • Support for the Irish Revenue 2022 taxonomy

CIPC

  • Updated entry points for the CIPC 2021 taxonomy

ESMA

  • Improved iXBRL generation package to leverage project properties to comply with local requirements
  • Roles at Generation are alphabetically ordered by label
  • When adding a new item to the taxonomy, checks are now implemented to detect if the item is already present, and if it is, a copy of that item is created
  • Upon renaming an extension item from the taxonomy, all copies of that item are renamed
  • Total/Net items are now generated as standard items, if they are reported without any of their calculation contributors
  • Ability to define presentation labels from UI (Standard/Negated and Total, Net, Period Start, Period End)
  • Ability to explicitly change the Standard label of items regardless of the preferred label type the item has
  • Improved Element Naming on Set Label

Known Issues

  • Filtering of facts within the Reviewer application will result in text block continuations to no longer be highlighted.
  • C365 Reviewer - Validation messages that should be present at the Document level are displayed in "first section" of the outline. This occurs when there is an HTML validation message that is identified within the first section of the outline.
  • Report creation/import wizard windows shrink and are not resizable, if you display the CDM application on the secondary monitor. You can display CDM on the primary monitor as a workaround.

Installation

You can deploy this version in the following ways.

Server

  • As a stand-alone fresh installation.
  • As a stand-alone installation by selecting Use existing databases or Empty databases, if you already have CDM database(s) from previous versions and a known encryption key. If you do not remember your encryption key, you can obtain it using the Get Encryption Key utility provided with this release being run on the previous version of CDM prior to uninstalling it, or from Certent CDM Support. You can also use a previously exported key by directly selecting it in the installer instead of typing it down.
  • As an upgrade from 20.3.1 or later.
  • If you are using XBRL or Inline XBRL, you should deploy/update Arelle on the same box with the CDM Server which is provided alongside the CDM installers.
    • The XBRL Dependencies package has been discontinued.
    • If the upgrade was done without this step, please check KB - Misc Arelle Errors to address any issues caused by Arelle additional files.

Client

  • As a stand-alone fresh installation.
  • As an update over previous versions of the Certent CDM Client.
  • Supports multiple client instances on the same box.

ClickOnce

  • As a stand-alone fresh installation.
  • As an update over previous versions of the Certent CDM publishing server.
  • Due to the change from 32-bit to 64-bit of the Certent CDM Client, previously installed client via ClickOnce will not be automatically upgraded upon start up. You should remove and redeploy the client when upgrading from a version earlier than 20.3.1.
    1. Remove Certent CDM from Programs and Features.
    2. Access the publishing server URL.
    3. Click the Install button.
