CDM Client: (Core | Filing | XBRL) 22.2.0

CDM Server: 22.2.0

This is a CDM general incremental release that aims to enhance the existing product features and address a series of defects found on previous versions.

Features

Certent 365

CDM Desktop

Project properties are used on rollforward when they differ from the report properties
Exporting and importing of a report now includes project data (including document configurations and XBRL project associations)
Ability to rename a project

Reviewer additions and changes:

Ability to download the generation output file from the Reviewer
Ability to add a comment to the Document node
Added a filter in the outline
Show Validation Markup in the Document
The Show Validation button will open HTML Validation messages in the Validation pane
The Outline shows a Notification for HTML validation by section: it displays the highest-level validation for each section
Access to the Project Details page and Reviewer Application, for Authors
Project Plan is pre-populated with tasks from prior project once it is "rolled over"

XBRL

Support for US GAAP 2022 taxonomy
Arelle updated to March 22nd, 2022, version and DQC v17 ruleset
External hyperlinks are no longer removed from generation. An error message will inform the user of all hyperlinks that are not SEC compliant, as well as their location inside the report. The presence of such errors does not block the generation (an output is still produced).
EDGAR Beta April 4th, 2022, release: verified the test filings for CDM and DM Filing Wizard

ESMA

Added ESMA ESEF Taxonomy 2021
Run Arelle validation in CDM using "De-duplicate calculations" option
Tagging information excel file is now generated along with the inline XBRL ESMA Project. It contains information about tags present in the XBRL Project.
Dynamic formatting for facts: ability to select language and region at XBRL Project level when performing an inline XBRL generation

Taxonomy extension:

Added the ability to Create and Delete extension roles
Added the ability to reorder the dimensional attributes to align the taxonomy and the report presentation order to meet ESEF auditor requirements (as per ESEF Filing Manual guidance 3.4.6)
The Delete operation is available for copied elements even if they are moved
Ensure the validity of dimensional structures through the user experience

Known Issues

Filtering of facts within the Reviewer application will result in text block continuations to no longer be highlighted.
Information related to anchoring for untagged string/text block item types is not present in the tagging information excel file.
C365 Reviewer - Validation messages that should be present at the Document level is being displayed in "first section" of the outline. This occurs when there is an HTML validation message that is identified within the first section of the outline.
Report creation / import wizard windows shrink and not resizable, if CDM application is displayed on secondary monitor. Work around: put CDM on primary monitor.
When an iXBRL SEC project is rolled forward, any selected items inside Extensible Enumeration tags are not retained. Such tags will need to be reviewed and the selected items re-applied.
An exception occurs when generating certain tagged extensible enumerations inside an iXBRL SEC project in CDM SaaS, if the taxonomy was not re-generated after tagging.

Installation

This version can be deployed in the following ways.

Server

As a stand-alone fresh installation.
As a stand-alone installation by selecting Use existing databases or Empty databases if you already have CDM database(s) from previous versions and a known encryption key. If you do not remember your encryption key, it can be obtained using the Get Encryption Key utility provided with this release being run on the previous version of CDM prior to uninstalling it. You can also use a previously exported key by directly selecting it in the installer instead of typing it down.
As an upgrade from 20.3.1 or later.
Customers using XBRL or Inline XBRL must deploy the XBRL Dependencies on the same box with the CDM Server which is provided alongside the CDM installers.
- This build uses XBRL Dependencies version 22.2.0. In order to avoid Arelle update issues, Arelle must be uninstalled, and any remaining files must be deleted prior to update XBRL Dependencies.
- If the upgrade was done without this step please check KB - Misc Arelle Errors in order to address any issues caused by Arelle additional files.

Client

As a stand-alone fresh installation.
As an update over previous versions of the Certent CDM Client.
Supports multiple client instances on the same box.

ClickOnce

As a stand-alone fresh installation.
As an update over previous versions of the Certent CDM publishing server.
Due to the change from 32-bit to 64-bit of the Certent CDM Client, previously installed client via ClickOnce will not be automatically upgraded upon start up. The client must be removed and redeployed when upgraded from a version earlier than 20.3.1.
1. Remove Certent CDM from Programs and Features.
2. Access the publishing server URL.
3. Click the Install button.
