The Manage Taxonomies Window

The Manage Taxonomies window in the CDM Extension Taxonomy Editor displays the taxonomies available to work with.

To view the Manage Taxonomies window, click the Home tab, then in the Navigation Pane, click Manage Taxonomies.

The Taxonomy column displays available taxonomies. If the list is empty, no extension taxonomies were imported or created.

The Period column displays the time period for the taxonomy.

The User Taxonomy Name column displays the name of the taxonomy as specified by the user.

The User Comment column displays comments that are created by the user.

The following buttons are available:

• Click Delete to delete a selected taxonomy.
• Click New to create an extension taxonomy.
• Click Import to import and load a taxonomy in XBRL format.
• Click Copy to copy a selected taxonomy. You can select a period for the copied taxonomy.
• Click Migrate to port a selected taxonomy to a newer base extension in the same family.
• Click Templates to manage all taxonomy templates in the Manage Taxonomy Templates window.
