XBRL Instance Document Generation
An instance document is an XML file that contains facts as defined by a taxonomy. Instance documents contain business reporting data with associated values and contexts. You must generate the instance document for your project in CDM XBRL before you submit it to your regulatory body.
You can generate your data at any time while you are working. The generation process also includes refreshing and validating your data.
Tip: When you generate an inline document or submission package, you can choose to save temporary files on the server (associated to the long running process). These files are saved in a Support Files folder. To do this, enable the Include Certent CDM support files during generation option in the Options window.
You can generate the data in your report in the following way.
