Generate HD Inline XBRL for 8-K Forms

The High Definition Reporting feature allows you to combine high-quality, presentation-style reports with XBRL data.

Typically, inline documents are created to be re-flowable based on the size of the region of screen that is used to display the document. This method results in an inline document that looks similar but not the same as the underlying Word document. Generating high definition (HD) inline XBRL creates inline content that looks exactly like what would have been printed from MS Word, with formats, fonts and layouts replicated perfectly.

To generate HD inline XBRL:

  1. Open the project in which you have HD reporting enabled for an 8-K form under SEC jurisdiction and complete your work.
  2. Click the Home tab, then click Generate Inline XBRL.

Select Generate Inline XBRL on the Home ribbon

  3. The Generate Inline XBRL High Definition window opens.
