25.2.1 Release Notes

June 2025

CDM Client: (Core | Filing | XBRL) 25.2.1.31804

CDM Server: 25.2.1.31804

This is a CDM general incremental release that aims to enhance the existing product features and address a series of defects found on previous versions.

New Features

ESMA ESEF 2024

CDM now supports:

  • ESMA ESEF 2024 taxonomy for Reporting Periods starting with 01-01-2024 or later.
  • Extensible Enumeration concept types in ESEF 2024 taxonomy:
    • Extensible Enumeration (EE) - Takes a single value from the list of accepted values (single choice).
    • Extensible Enumeration Set - Takes one or multiple values from the list of accepted values (multiple choice).
  • ESMA ESEF 2024 Calculation 1.1 Arc Updates. When using Calculations 1.1 option in CDM for an ESMA ESEF 2024 taxonomy, the calculation linkbase will have the updated URL https://xbrl.org/2023/arcrole/summation-item for all Monetary concepts involved in the calculation relationships.
  • Duration item types with Year, Month, and Days as Units in tagging and inline XBRL generation.

US SEC

  • Add support for US GAAP 2025 taxonomy.
  • Add support to Cybersecurity (CYD) 2024 taxonomy. CYD 2024 is now supported when used with US GAAP 2024 and IFRS for SEC 2024 taxonomies.

Update Arelle Version & DQC Rules

Updated Arelle version 2.37.0 to include support for US GAAP 2025 and ESMA ESEF 2024 Taxonomy.

Add Support for SASB Taxonomy (Limited Support – No Extensibility)

You can now utilize the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) Taxonomy in CDM to import, tag, and generate taxonomy, enabling the development and dissemination of sustainability accounting standards that help public corporations disclose material, and decision-useful information to investors.

Support for Oracle EPM Financial Consolidation and Close (FCCS)

Oracle EPM FCCS connections will offer direct data connectivity using secure APIs and retrieve real-time financial consolidation data for use in disclosures and reports.

CDM users with appropriate permissions will now be able to create an Oracle EPM data source by choosing to add a new OLAP Data Source, and afterwards to build data queries against this new connection and insert the data into their report objects.

To be able to create a data query against an Oracle EPM data source, a Metadata export job must exist in Oracle EPM FCCS and be referenced in the metadataExportJobName attribute under the EPMConfiguration key in the CDM.config file. The key is configured by default with the following job name: CDM_Metadata_Export.

AI Doc Assist Icon Update

You can now use two distinct icons to toggle the opening/closing of the AI Doc Assist chat bot.

Support URL Update

CDM Support email option has been removed. The support link has been updated with the Central Support URL for quicker access to help.

Installation

You can deploy this version in the following ways.

Server

  • As a stand-alone fresh installation.
  • As a stand-alone installation by selecting Use existing databases or Empty databases, if you already have CDM database(s) from previous versions and a known encryption key. If you do not remember your encryption key, you can obtain it using the Get Encryption Key utility provided with this release being run on the previous version of CDM prior to uninstalling it, or from Certent CDM Support. You can also use a previously exported key by directly selecting it in the installer instead of typing it down.
  • As an upgrade from 20.3.1 or later.
  • If you are using XBRL or Inline XBRL, you should deploy/update Arelle on the same box with the CDM Server that is provided alongside the CDM installers. The XBRL Dependencies package has been discontinued.
  • This version is compatible with Arelle release 2.37.0. Before installing this Arelle version, you should uninstall and clean up temporary files created by your previous Arelle installation, by following the instructions on KB - Arelle Upgrade 2022.10.28.

Client

  • As a stand-alone fresh installation.
  • As an update over previous versions of the Certent CDM Client.
  • Supports multiple client instances on the same box.

ClickOnce

  • As a stand-alone fresh installation.
  • As an update over previous versions of the Certent CDM publishing server.
  • Due to the change from 32-bit to 64-bit of the Certent CDM Client, previously installed client via ClickOnce will not be automatically upgraded upon start up. You should remove and redeploy the client when upgrading from a version earlier than 20.3.1.
    1. Remove Certent CDM from Programs and Features.
    2. Access the publishing server URL.
    3. Click the Install button.
