Filing Wizard Setup

If you are planning to file using the SEC Filing Wizard, please complete these administrative setup tasks, as needed.

Report and Application Permissions

The appropriate Filing Wizard application and report permissions must be enabled by the CDM Administrator for the appropriate users and reports. See Grant Permissions.

Configure the Filing Wizard Database Connection

After installation, you need to configure the connection string for the Filing Wizard database manually to point to the CDM database. You can find the connection string in the appsetings.json file of the Filing Wizard server.

Add the EDGAR Next Filer API Token

If you have enrolled in EDGAR Next, you can add your Filer API Token in the SecSetting.Production.json file of the Filing Wizard server to file using the new system.

Update SEC Holiday Dates

SEC holiday dates are stored in a JSON file, which is located by this path from the root folder of the CDM Server installation: FilingWizard\SecAvailabilitySettings.json. This is a configuration file where SEC holidays are stored when EDGAR is not available and needs to be updated annually.

This file may be either amended manually by client's admins or replaced with a file provided by Certent CDM Support without a reinstallation or update of the CDM Server.
