Reviewer

The Reviewer application enables you to quickly and efficiently review and approve documents by seeing the latest generated version of the entire document in your web browser with HD rendering. Leveraging the Reviewer for your review process ensures all users are working off the same, most current version of a document.

To launch the Reviewer application, on the Project Details page, click the Open button and select Open in Reviewer from the option list. The Reviewer is displayed in a new browser tab.

Outline Pane

The left navigation pane contains an outline view of the document sections, based on existing CDM report sections. Selecting a heading in the Outline pane displays that section in the main document window.

The Outline pane is open by default when the Reviewer is launched. To close the pane, click the X icon on the top-right corner of the pane.

To reopen the Outline pane, select View > Outline, or click the Outline icon on the left sidebar of the Reviewer.

Comments Pane

Document review communication is done by adding and replying to comments. Comments and replies to comments can be viewed at any time from the Comments pane.

To display the Comments pane, select any section of the document, then click Home > Show Comments, or click the Comments icon on the right sidebar of the Reviewer.

Add Comment

To comment on, request an edit to, or ask a question about the document, take these steps:

  1. Select the relevant section of the document.
  2. Click Home > New Comment, or click the New Comment button in the Comments pane.
  3. Type your comment and click the Send icon to submit the comment. Your username and a datetime stamp will appear along with the comment.

For easier collaboration, you can mention other team members by using @ and the team member in your comment. If email notification is setup in the CDM desktop client, those team members that are mentioned will receive an automated email communication which will show the message text, project, and a clickable URL to the comment location in the document.

Click Reply on the comment you want to reply to and click the Send icon. Your name and a datetime stamp appear along with your reply. You can also reply to a comment using mentions.

Resolve Comment

Click Resolve on the comment you have resolved. Once you resolve a comment, you can reactivate it by selecting Activate.

Edit Comment

Click the ellipses on the top-right corner of the comment and click Edit.

Delete Comment

Click the ellipses on the top-right corner of the comment and click Delete. A comment cannot be deleted if it has a reply attached to it or is resolved.

File Options

Reviewers have the option of downloading or printing a copy of the document.

  • Select File > Download > Download as PDF to download a PDF copy of the document to your computer.
  • Select File > Download > Download files to download entire package of files for filing to appropriate jurisdiction.
  • Select File > Print to print a hard copy of the document.
