Taxonomies
A taxonomy is a description of a multidimensional data store expressed in XML. You can use CDM XBRL to work with taxonomies.
Generally, a taxonomy is a body of concepts that are systematically defined and classified into ordered groups according to relationships between the individual items of information. You can load multiple taxonomies into CDM XBRL, where the taxonomies can be used for tagging purposes.
You can add a taxonomy that is on a local system, a connected network, or a website. After taxonomies are added, you can edit the name and description of the taxonomy, or you can delete taxonomies that are no longer needed.
You can only import taxonomies from URLs that are contained in the XBRL whitelist, or that have been previously added to the Cache Manager. If you add a taxonomy from a local file, and the taxonomy references remote files, these remote files must also be contained in the whitelist or be in the Cache Manager.
By default, the XBRL whitelist
contains these Internet domains: fasb.org and its subdomains, xbrl.us, xbrl.org, sec.gov, ifrs.org, eurofiling.info, and eiopa.europa.eu. To add other Internet domains to the whitelist, see XBRL Whitelist Configuration.
